Online Victimization

A Recent Study by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reveals:

1 out of 7 children are sexually solicited via the Internet.

1 out of 4 children receive unwanted exposure to pornography.

1 out of 33 children are asked to meet someone, receive telephone calls, or receive money/gifts through the mail.

Only 1 out of 4 children who are solicited inform their parents.

Online predatory behavior toward children is frequently not reported to law enforcement, schools or Internet service providers.

Report Online Solicitations

Families may report online solicitations and inappropriate communications with children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the CyberTipline.
